Spring officially arrives on Tuesday, but it looks like Mother Nature may have other plans up her sleeve this week.
While temperatures do start a slow climb through mid-week, reaching 60° for the Boise area by Wednesday, the mildness is short-lived. A cold air mass is set to invade the area late in the week, bringing rain showers in ahead of it on Wednesday and Thursday, then sending temperatures plummeting by this weekend.
Come Saturday, highs in the Treasure Valley will struggle to climb out of the 40s, with several more inches of mountain snow likely for the first few days of the spring season.
