Warm, and at times wet, spring weather ahead for SW Idaho

Generally unsettled weather will be the name of the game across SW and central Idaho through the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, though most of the storm activity will pop up in the afternoons and evenings, with sunshine in between.

The mountains will be stormy nearly every day this week, but the best chance of storms for the Treasure Valley develops at the end of the work week, as a cold front pushes cooler air in our direction. That will usher in rain showers, gusty winds and some thunderstorm activity as it approaches and passes through on Friday evening.

Scattered storms, rain showers and cooler temperatures remain in the forecast for the first part of the Memorial Day weekend, though the holiday itself is looking nice, with mostly sunny skies, highs into the upper 70s, and only a slim chance of a shower for early next week.
