Carbon Leaf June 17, 2009
We were pleased to have the group Carbon Leaf back in-studio. It was an exciting double-header for us, as we had Trevor Hall play and then had only about 10 minutes to move them out, and set up new mics for Carbon Leaf. This group works hard on their harmonies, which they say didn't come easily. The singer likes to sometimes come up with about 7 harmonies and then double them, but then the record producers scale it back down. They spoke of enjoying songwriting with a laptop now, how it's made things much easier to save time and money on pre-production before they spend thousands of dollars recording in the studio. They decided to take a year off to get back to writing, and their latest release is called, "Nothing Rhymes With Woman." Here is their acoustic performance of "Miss Hollywood."
