Roxx's Session Chatter

ZZ Ward 2014

  • Print

With a soul and voice that sounds far from Roseburg, Oregon, ZZ Ward returned to our station to play a set in the Blue Moon Listener Lounge. Above is a surprise Drake cover she shared with us.

She was joined by Eric Walls, one of the 3 very impressive band members to join ZZ on stage at The Knitting Factory. A friend of a friend who works at The Grove, said ZZ had quietly been in town since Monday. She spoke of watching a movie here, and said she'd been the only one in the theater to watch "Non-Stop" while in Moscow, Idaho.

ZZ still makes wonderful custom hats, and her musical talent includes many instruments. She plays a mean blue harp, we found this cigar box display before she started playing her set for us.

ZZ’s career continues to climb, and she will be opening this summer for Eric Clapton!

Above is her stage shot after the Boise show. Tag yourself on our Facebook page, RiverBoise. Coming soon to the blog...GRIZFOLK!
