Dawes at The Record Exchange

  • Print

Having Dawes play a free Record Exchange performance was a perfect ending to the weekend. Before the show started, a speaker reminded us how lucky we are to have a store like this. He said there is nothing like this in Seattle. When Brett Dennen was in town, he went to great lengths to profess his love for The Record Exchange. People who wandered in on a Sunday afternoon heard some very special music.

Taylor Goldsmith has a very distinct voice, and the harmonies of Dawes have that Laurel Canyon sound. Go here if you want to see what kinds of things Taylor likes to read in his spare time.

Their latest album is “Stories Don’t End.” This is the single we’ve been playing on The River.

Could Taylor Goldsmith possibly collaborate with Phil Lesh?

You could have heard a pin drop as Dawes fans hung on every word Taylor was singing.

We’ll soon be broadcasting these sessions live as they happen. None of this could happen without this guy:

Our engineer Rocky knows Santa really well, and can often be found at The Idaho Botanical Garden’s “Winter Garden Aglow” the next few weeks!

Next up if all goes well, is The Kopecky Family Band on Wednesday.

Thursday, listen for live local performers from the Moxie Java Ida HO HO HO music compilation for the Idaho Foodbank!
