Bob Schneider in-studio
He's joined us several times, this time Bob Schneider came in wearing sunglasses in our dark and cozy listener lounge.
Bob was very persistant this time about using headphones, even though I had said we couldn't really throw that together last-minute. So since I said "no," he asked Tim, who surrendered his own headphones. I didn't remember Bob quite behaving like that in the past. I also didn't remember the sunglasses, or the smirks he had when making the interview a bit uncomfortable. When asked who he'd like to perform with that he hadn't yet, Bob answered, "Bing Crosby." Awkward Silence. Patty Griffin backed him up on the album version of this song. Tim and I love Patty, as mentioned often in this blog. We get a new microwave every time we recruit a new fan. Bob was serious for a moment and said, "it's amazing to watch her sing, it made me cry."
Bob Schneider despises every record he has ever done. After recording an album, he won't listen to it for at least 2 years.
The only thing he didn't want to be asked about, was sports. He said "I know absolutely nothing about sports."
